Starkville's House of El(often referred to as SHoE) is a Smallville podcast started in May 2006. The show was originally hosted by Derek Russell and Tucker Colburn. They were later joined by Houston Longino in Episode 5 and Will Cooper in Episode 34. When Houston, Tucker, and Will moved on to other projects, Steve Glosson, of the Geek Out Loud Podcast, was named the new Co-host in Episode 66.

The show relvoves around The CW network's Smallville. They have covered many things Superman, ranging from Superman comics to Superman video games. The show is highly popular in the Smallville community and has a community fan base for the show at http://houseofel.informe.com/ .

The podcast is normally released a few days after a new episode of Smallville airs, which you can download on Itunes or directly from their website at http://smallvillepodcast.com/ .

The SHoE Crew has created over 80 unique episodes for their fans and the fans of Smallville. They've done over 80 audio episodes, over 10 videos, and at least 9 interviews with writers, directors, and actors surrounding the Smallville/Superman universe. Many of the podcast episodes have running jokes that most new listeners may not be privy to. The SHoEroom has been created for the fans of Smallville to gather and talk about the show or anything SHoE related. The most popular time to join chat is 8/7pm central time on Thursdays, right when the new episode of Smallville airs. The Hosts, on occassion have been known to stop by and catch the reactions of viewers of the show and to just chat in general. You can access the SHoEroom at http://www.chatzy.com/331446358557 . If you don't know what Twitter is, it's a status update service where users “follow” other users to see what they are up to. So if you are following the official SHoE account you’ll know in an instant when news updates or new episodes of the podcast are posted on the SHoE site. They also use the twitter account to interact with their listeners from time to time.
